7-11-2015  First thing I have to do is apologize for not updating.  The move was a little longer and harder than we anticipated but we are finally settled and I've begun to write again.  I posted another teaser for Chapter 17 and hope to have the chapter done very soon.  Please remember to check out the PBL Facebook page and also the South Mountain Pack series by Pocketbooklover Facebook page.

5-8-2015 On Tuesday, May 12th I will have to do the hardest thing I’ve ever done… move away from my beloved South Mountain. Hubs got a new job and we will be moving to Ohio. Sigh. My entire life I’ve lived within 30 miles of this mountain and I can’t believe I won’t be able to look out my window and see it.

Due to moving, Chapter 17 is going to be delayed so please have patience and remember that I write South Mountain Pack for fun and this move is for the benefit of my family and my family will always come first.

While I hate the thought of moving away, I look forward to the adventure of moving to a new town and experiencing everything it has to offer. On a positive note it will give me more insight into a new Pack to introduce and I can’t wait until they hear my Southern drawl and try and figure out what the hell I’m saying…

4-9-2015  We have started a new page on Facebook - South Mountain Pack series by Pocketbooklover.  Please go to my Pocketbooklover FB page and click on today's post to join this group.  In this group you will be able to discuss all things SMP including what you'd like to see happen, plot points, post pictures whatever you'd like.

3-6-2015  Chapter 16 is finished and has been submitted to Lit.  Whew.  It's 141 pages on Word.  56,608 words and 598 KB.  This chapter is a bit different as the families go to the lake to relax so we get to see their interactions more and their personalities.  There's still drama though.

1-29-2015  Obviously I was not able to get the chapter done in time for our anniversary.  I am still having health issues that prevent me from coherently putting things together.  I am still working on it but for short periods of time.  As I've mentioned before this chapter is different, they go to the lake to relax and spend time together.  You'll get to see more of their personalities, and how they interact with each other.  I really hope you enjoy it when I get it done.

Also, in case you haven't heard, I won 3rd place in the Readers Choice Winners for May 2014 for Chapter 14 on Lit.  Absolutely astounded, first time I've ever won anything before.

1-6-2015  Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and is enjoying the new year.  I am working non-stop trying to get Chapter 16 finished.  I'm about 92.7483417% done.  My aim is to have it done, edited and posted by 1-20-2015 to celebrate the second anniversary of Chapter 1....

10-6-2014  A HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in the forum.  Answered lots of questions and gave 2 teasers for Chapter 16.  Will be having another one after the release of chapter 17 which hopefully will be the lead up to and include the Halloween Dance.  Will post the teasers on the blog.

9-22-2014  Chapter 15 was submitted yesterday, so now it's up to Lit as to when it's posted.  I'll post on the blog as usual within 24 hours of Lit.

8-17-2014  Another Prophecy posted.  Waiting for someone from Greece to do the translation for me.  Google translate, Babylon and several others have each given me different translations, so I'm going for an authentic Greek translation.

8-14-2014  Update: I'm still having serious heart issues and have been to the hospital, the Dr's and have had so many tests done I feel like a pin cushion. I am still having PVC's or Pre-Ventricular contractions at least twice a minute and I can literally feel the shock in my chest when my heart shocks itself to get a normal sinus rhythm. the morning I was admitted to the hospital, the pain was so severe they tested me for Pulmonary Embolism, a heart attack and on a pain scale of 1 - 10, I rated it a 8.5. It felt like somebody was reaching in my chest and squeezing my heart.

I'm trying to work on finishing the chapter, and am doing the best I can. But again, I have numerous Dr. visits, tests and other health issues I'm dealing with.

8-3-2014  Need to take a short break from writing.  Chapter 15 will hopefully be submitted and posted within the next 10 days. (crosses fingers there are no more heart issues or hospitalizations).  To clear my mind, I will answer your questions until midnight. This will be on the Pocketbooklover facebook page.

6-6-2014  Good news!!!  Boneams has agreed to join Mygypsy, JazCullen, Whitesabretooth and myself in our website adventures.  For those unfamiliar with his work, I suggest you check it out, they are must reads - "They Walk Among us", "The Pandora Effect" and "The Chosen One".  The main character is a Were named Kevin Dvorska who as a Navy SEAL protects our nations security.

6-4-2014  So much going on.... over the weekend, Mygypsy, JazCullen, Whitesabretooth and I decided on attempting to start our own website to feature our stories.  There are some issues with Lit and Wattpad that are concerning us, so we would like to have a little more control on how our stories are put out there.  I've told you before my opinion of Wattpad and also made everyone aware of how displeased I am of how easy it is to plagiarize stories from Lit and their hesitation to help when it does happen.  All of the stories on there are copyrighted by the authors through them, but yet when it is brought to their attention and you send them an email they often don't respond or are extremely slow to action.  Also if you remember, Chapter 1 of my story was pulled because of 'underage' sex.  Anyone who has read the story is aware there is no sex in the story and it took almost two weeks to get the story reposted.  The other authors I mentioned have been going through the same issues.

I am feeling much better, thank you all for your encouragement and support.  This hayfever season hit really hard and it seemed like it was the worst season I could ever remember.

Am busy typing away on Chapter 15, and I hope to have it finished within two weeks.  Am amazed and grateful at the support you've given Chapter 14 and it's sitting at #6 in the Hall of Fame.  Chapter 13 is at #14.  Again, thank you for all the support.

Online chat - I think we'll wait until Chapter 15 is done and posted before we have the next one.  There's a lot going on and I'm sure you'll have questions...

5-4-2014      Whew...Chapter 14 is done and at the editors.  Should have it back any day and then it's off to be submitted.  It's the longest chapter yet, 91 pages on Word.  I'll post pics of the new Alpha and Level 5 once the chapter posts and also some other tidbits...

3-22-2014     As I said on the FB post, we have much to celebrate.  Over 30,000 page views on the blog, Chapter 1 has almost 45,000 views, we are getting more fans everyday on FB...and the best news - WE ARE #4 ON THE HALL OF FAME.  I couldn't do it without all of you and you have no idea how much I cherish the support you've given the story and to me personally.  To give a big huge thank you, I posted a teaser for Chapter 14 and hope you enjoy it.

We've added a lot to the blog since we started it in Nov, but what would you like to see?  Post it below or send me an email.

3-8-2014      Chapter 13 is up on Lit and the blog and the comments have been great.  So far it is our highest rated chapter and we are...drumroll please...IN THE HALL OF FAME!!!  More specifically in the top 25.  Cannot believe it.  I cannot thank all of you enough for your continued support, encouraging emails and for reading my story and being honest with me with what you like and don't like in the story.  (Though everyone seems pretty united in their dislike for Victoria...)  If you haven't gone to Lit and voted, please take a second and vote.

There is a new page titled "Others in the Pack" where I will post pics and a short bio of Pack members as they are talked about.  I also added new recipes to the Millers and Rose's pages.  I will also post a pic on the "Those important to the Pack" of Jessie Anders as soon as I find what I'm looking for. (3-9-14  Jessie's pic is now up.)

3-2-2014     Chapter 13 is being submitted this evening.  I was going to have someone else look it over for a final edit, but with the forecast I didn't want to wait.  We are right in the middle of Winter Storm Tritan and they project us to get upwards of 12" of snow with massive amounts of ice/sleet/rain.  They sent out emergency alerts telling us they expect us to lose power and if we do, it may be off for several days...we have plenty of groceries, water and wood so we should be fine.  Oh, and I stocked up on kitty treat treats too...

2-19-2014     I'm sorry, I didn't realize how long it had been since I posted an update.  We've had terrible weather the past month and it seems like we've been without power and internet more then we've had it.  I've also had an issue with my computer, probably related to the power problems, during a fifteen to twenty second interval, the lights flicked on and off over five times and it did something to my hard drive.  The last three pages that I had written didn't save and when we brought it to the geeks at Best Buy they did recover them but they were gibberish (it looked like my cat had typed them or walked across the computer).  They did manage to recover 3/4 of the data on the hard drive and luckily due to my editors constant haranguing I had everything backed up on CD's and flash drives.

After talking to a friend of mine, pixietammy, I think it's a good idea if we have another online chat after Chapter 13 is posted.  There is so much going on in the chapter I think people will want to talk about it and I'd like the opportunity to discuss it with you.  What do you think?

Finally, I'd like to thank everyone for their support of having another gay couple in the story.  Out of all the comments, there has only been one negative comment, the rest have been positive or "Gay couples are not a big deal, they are part of society so why would I have an issue?".  I like to think in this day and age we are all kind-hearted enough to realize that love comes in all forms and I look forward to the day when it doesn't matter.  Again, they will always be portrayed in a positive manner because I only like to vilify the "meanies"...you'll know who they are, and there's a couple of them in Chapter 13.

2-1-2014     We had a great time last night on the conference.  We started at 8 and finished up about 11:45.  After the conference I had several people Private Message me and I talked to them until 2 AM.  We'll plan on doing this again, maybe in two or three months.  I really enjoyed hearing the readers point of views and what they like about the stories and I gave a lot of insights into what is coming up.  I'll post a teaser on Wednesday.

I'll give a hint of what is coming up, there will be another gay couple, but I'm not going to tell you who it is.  If you look at the families, I think it's pretty obvious, but nobody had figured it out until we had our talk last night.  The one concern they had was in how it is going to be portrayed, to make sure it was done in a positive way.  I'll tell you this...I'm a firm believer in love.  If you are lucky to find somebody that you love then you treasure them.  That is what I hope everybody understands about my stories.  It's all about the love they have for each other, the family dynamic as well as finding somebody to spend the rest of their life with.

Matt and Phil went through a terrible ordeal, but they never stopped loving each other.  What they went through, they went through together and it only made them stronger, as a couple and as men.  Coming to SMP, they finally found the acceptance they needed and with their bond with the Millers they finally are complete as a family.  Unconditional love, thats what it's all about.

If that part of the storyline upsets anyone, I'm not quite sure what to say.  I'm definitely not sorry for introducing gay characters, and they will always be portrayed in a positive loving way by me.  I do this to honor the memory of my beloved cousin who died of AIDS, twenty-five years ago.  Not a day goes by that I don't think of him.

1-14-2014    Please remember to vote and comment on Lit about Chapter 12.  I do read each and every comment, and also the emails you send.  I use this to see what I need to improve or work on, as a first time author/writer this helps me to improve.

1-13-2014     Chapter 12 is now up, and I have posted pics of Alpha Parr and Dr. Parr on the page - Those important to the Pack.  Am furiously typing away with Chapter 13 and am about 3/4 of the way done, it's gonna be another long one...

1-8-2014     Chapter 12 teaser is up, and has been submitted.  Hopefully it will be posted within the next 7 days...I also finally got the pictures of Gina and Carlo posted and they are on the Anthony Rossi and the Rossi family page.  There is also a new pic posted on the Homes of Pack members showing Matt and Phil's house.

1-2-2014     I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  To start off the New Year with a bang, I have finished Chapter 12 and it is now at my editors and he is reading through it.  For our contest, I have decided on a name, and it will be revealed in Chapter 13, all the candidates will get an advance read of Chapter 12 so nobody knows what the name is until its revealed.

For our one year anniversary celebration, we are going to try something different.  We will have a Yahoo Messenger chat, no video (I'm still not ready for that).  Whoever would like to would log on and chat with me and ask whatever questions you may have about SMP as well as talk to other people who like the stories.  When we get more info, I will let you know the date, time and my YM name.  What do you think of that idea?

12-21-2013     As I posted earlier on the Chapter 11 teaser, my stories go through a more vigorous review then just a skimming glance due to the underage characters.  The general process of 3 - 5 days, is generally 10 days with my stories, so have patience, it is coming...

12-16-2013     Chapter 11 should be submittted within the day.  Work on Chapter 12 is going well, am up to 16 pages and working steadily.

Our one year anniversary is coming up soon and we are working on something to celebrate, will let you know details as we work things out, but it's another contest for an advance read of a chapter.

12-9-2013     Chapter 11 had it's final read-through.  It is now getting edited for punctuation and grammar.  It's another long chapter almost 72 pages on Microsoft Word.

Added a few pics to The School House page.  Thanks to Curtiesha's suggestion to see some pics of the safe room.  Still working on the perfect girls for the Miller's but I've been busy typing away on Chapter 12.

12-3-2013     Finally, finally Chapter 11 is done.  I can finally relax, take a deep breath and.... get started on Chapter 12.  I may take time to watch some Walker, Texas Ranger but we'll see.

I still haven't quite decided the name of Millers bakery, but I'll make the decision before I finish Chapter 12, and will let the lucky winner know.

I'm working on pics for the Millers, but wanted to finish Chapter 11 first, so hopefully within the next week or two that'll be up.

11-22-2013     The Moretti's page is now up, I kept looking for pics of auburn haired girls that reminded me of Robyn Lively from back in the '80's (Teen Witch, Karate Kid), and finally I was like, she is what I pictured, so I'm going with it.

Alberto and Angelo - I knew with their description of 6'5" and 330 lbs, it had to be a football player and JJ Watt is who I kept coming back to and he is a good 'sibling' match with Robyn Lively.

We added a couple of new pics of The School House to answer your questions of what Pyracantha looks like and a reader (Thank you MyrtleBeachFanatic) sent me in another pic for The School House.

Along with writing Chapter 11, I am working on a special page and hope to have it up by Thanksgiving.  It involves a lot of research, so it'll take a couple of days.

11-16-2013     We have posted new pics - The Carlucci women is finally up.  It was difficult finding somebody to portray Sophia and Maria. Since they are only fifteen, we had to find somebody who portrayed their youthful innocence and I think we did it.  Rose and Annie were definitely just as difficult, since there are so many beautiful Italian women to choose from, but when we saw the pic of Melissa Satta, we were like 'She's it.'

The pages - The Territory, The Pack List, The homes of Pack members have all been updated with new pics added.  Also, we've added more pics to Anthony's page due to the numerous requests.

Still working on the Moretti's, but I've been working on Chapter 11, we're now up to 35 pages and progress is going well.

11-13-2013     I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to look at the blog and the facebook page (pocketbooklover).  For those asking, the profile pic on the FB page is an amber eye surrounded by black fur.

I am going to take a break today from looking for men to depict Alberto/Angelo.  Looking at hot Italian men and just hot men in general for the last several days has taken a toll on me and I need to give my poor heart a break.  I am going to write a little of Chapter 11 today, we are up to 25 pages (Microsoft Word) already, and there's a lot more to happen.

I would like feedback from my wonderful readers, what would you like the blog to show more of?  I will be posting teasers on here, probably when the chapter is done and ready to be submitted, but what else do you want to see?  Oh, and when I check the page views, I have to laugh because the Raspberry Amaretto Cake is the most popular page...
